About the role:
This is a fantastic opportunity to join a leading, international Marine Consultancy, full-time, in the midst of an exciting period of expansion. We are looking for an impressive Marine Surveyor who can take us forward within our specialist, niche industry.
You would be responsible for the following:
-Undertake a wide range of surveys, investigations, audits and attendances as required, always in a professional manner, on ships, docks, warehouses and everywhere marine related.
-Communicate findings both verbally and in the form of written reports and correspondence in a timely manner.
-Work together with clients such as P&I Clubs/Insurers, H&M Underwriters, Owners and Lawyers.
-The role will initially require you to work from home in Ireland and occasionally outside Ireland, conducting the above scope of work.
-Attend meetings and conferences as necessary.
-Develop and maintain a network of clients and potential clients.
-Identify opportunities by researching industry and related events, publications, and announcements.
-Locate or propose potential new business opportunities by contacting potential clients.
-Track the activities and accomplishments of relevant companies.
-Market the consultancy’s capabilities within the marine market.
-Update knowledge and keep abreast of industry trends by participating in training, reading professional publications, maintaining personal networks and participating in professional conferences.
