Delivery of the first components will begin in June of this year through the Caspian Sea and, when completed, the near US$250 million wind farm will provide energy to power 10,000 homes, thereby reducing the use of fossil fuels.
Van Ameyde McAuslands M.D., Albert Weatherill, was delighted with the news which comes as the world economy faces extremely challenging times. He said, “We have worked closely with Vestas Wind Systems for a number of years and have continued to provide a global presence of experts throughout the current Covid-19 Pandemic as wind projects continue.” He added “This new contract demonstrates the faith that Vestas, who have delivered more wind power than any other Company in the world, have placed in us.
