Van Ameyde McAuslands have been chosen to provide Marine Warranty Services and Consultancy to Vestas Wind Systems who will be delivering the Astana Wind Project, a 100 megawatt, and Kazakhstan’s first, onshore wind farm. Delivery of the first components will begin in June of this year through the Caspian Sea and, when completed, the near US$250 million wind farm will provide energy to power 10,000 homes, thereby reducing the use of fossil fuels.

He said, “We have worked closely with Vestas Wind Systems for a number of years and have continued to provide a global presence of experts throughout the current Covid-19 Pandemic as wind projects continue.” He added “This new contract demonstrates the faith that Vestas, who have delivered more wind power than any other Company in the world, have placed in us. Kazakhstan will pose its own challenges, but we are proud to be involved in this prestigious project that will help the world towards its goal of reducing fossil fuel usage.”
