CV summary

In 2016 Elbert joined Van Ameyde Marine after being a Marine Cargo Surveyor for nearly three years and is registered as surveyor for the Dutch Institute of Registered Surveyors (NIVRE-re) and since 2020 a full member of the International Institute of Marine Surveyors (MIIMS).

Elbert completed his nautical college in 1992 after which he sailed for 8 years on multi-purpose cargo vessels, such as bulk carriers, project cargo- and heavy lift vessels, serving in all ranks up to the rank of Chief Officer. After his time at sea Elbert worked as a Vessel Operator and as Supercargo involved in the worldwide supervision of loading and discharging of project- and forest cargoes for a Rotterdam based ship owner.

In 2021 Elbert received the diploma in Maritime Business Management after successfully completed this study via the Lloyds Maritime Academy, assessed and awarded by the North Kent College. Elbert obtained experience in vessel operations and chartering and he is a certified ISM Lead Auditor and gained in-depth knowledge in the MLC 2006 regulations. Also, Elbert is qualified to act as offshore client representative.
