Martin was a Marine and Bunker Procurement Manager for a cruise line prior to becoming a Marine Surveyor. Staring his shipping career as a ship’s agent for a ship and terminal owner on the river Thames, gaining experience working with Dry Bulk cargoes, Steel, Paper, Forest products, Cables, Project cargoes and hazardous cargo before moving into a ship operations role with MOL’s Car Carrier Division. He worked for MOL for 14 years gaining experience in many trades, notably the trades into West Africa and manufactures’ dedicated vessels.
