Matthew joined the McAuslands team in 2017, where he learned the nuances of the Marine Insurance industry and the wider Marine Industry.

 Matthew learnt how to conduct a wide range of surveys to serve various clients, including but not limited to pre-shipment surveys, draft surveys, bunker surveys, cargo superintendency, damage inspections and investigating cargo claims.

After completing this role for several years I moved on to a Project Management role within a multi-modal heavy transport logistics company, which involved planning & managing both small scale and large-scale transport projects, overseeing the transport of abnormal loads, including large scale industrial, civil and engineering projects, transformer installations, bridge girders, tanks & silos, gear boxes, wind turbine blades and other abnormal loads including bespoke one-off units.

 Matthew returned to McAuslands early in 2022 to continue his journey in the world of Marine Surveying with valuable knowledge and experienced gained from his time spent working with the transport & logistics industry.
