CV summary
Nick joined the merchant navy in 1973 and has experience in all types of general cargo and container vessels. Nick qualified as Master Mariner in 1986 and after working for a stevedore company for four years became a marine surveyor in 1995.
Nick has investigated a wide range of incidents including collisions, ship explosions, deaths and personal injuries along with all the different types of claims associated with the myriad of differing types of commodities. Nick also undertakes surveys and advises on the stowage and lashing of project and heavy lift cargoes. Nick is widely travelled and one of Company’s most experienced loss investigators being appointed by P & I Clubs and lawyers to act as attending expert. Nick has also acted as GA surveyor on a very large container vessel fire.
