Van Ameyde
McAuslands
McAuslands began as McAusland Turner, a UK marine surveying and consulting firm, back in 1888. The company is the oldest Marine Surveying and Consulting firm in continuous operation in the Port of Hull. The company is synonymous with quality and is a member of the Team Humber Marine Alliance. Its surveyors and consultants bring a unique blend of expertise and are represented in various professional bodies, including
- The Nautical Institute
- The Institute of Marine Engineering, Science & Technology
- The British Association of Cargo Surveyors
- The International Institute of Marine Surveying
- ICHCA (International Cargo Handling Coordination Association)
- The Honourable Company of Master Mariners
- The Energy Institute
The company was endorsed as official P&I Correspondents as early as 1916. A relationship that has stood the test of time. In addition to representing P&I Clubs, McAuslands acts on behalf of insurers, the legal profession, government bodies and the marine industry at large. McAuslands has been appointed a Lloyd’s Agency for the East Coast of England since 2002.

A history on which clients place their trust
Through expansion and acquisition, the company now covers the UK, from Kinross in Scotland to Southampton, and operates internationally, too, with offices in South Africa. To offer its clients truly global representation through like-minded service providers, McAuslands joined Van Ameyde’s marine network in 2019.
