Our History

In 1954, in the Netherlands, the journey of Van Ameyde Marine took root. Henri van Ameyde, the founder, perceived the marine sector's desire for specialized survey services and acted upon it. The mounting demand and progression towards increasingly intricate fields prompted the establishment of a distinct entity in 1969, known as Marine Survey Bureau H.A. van Ameyde.

With key offices in prominent Dutch ports like Rotterdam, Amsterdam, and Vlissingen, the company marked its territory. Its footprint extended to Belgium in 1965. This Belgian expansion culminated in the 2018 acquisition of Sparks Surveyors. Today, the company proudly houses seven offices just in the Benelux area. Attuned to their clients' aspirations for a worldwide presence, Van Ameyde Marine went on to acquire Krogius in 2015, followed by McAuslands and Seasia in 2019.
