Yesterday on International Women’s Day we celebrated the achievements of women all around the world and the ladies at Van Ameyde Krogius celebrated with flowers and a ping pong challenge.
Van Ameyde Krogius is now engaged with the UN Global Compact and gender equality is one of our themes to focus on. Even though Finland is one of the most gender equal countries in the world with equal access to political representation, education and employment, we would like to remember that there is still plenty of work to be done. In society, the challenge of changing stereotypes and pay gap between the genders to name a few.
At Van Ameyde Krogius the gender equality has always been strong, and we believe that the best ideas come from working together. This came up strongly when colleagues were asked about their most valuable aspects of their work environment. In Finland “helping others” was considered one of the most valued. We are also trying to constantly learn and grow to better identify the aspects that need developing. Our aim is to create a working place where everyone feels important and feels that their opinions matter and where they can reach their full potential.
