Matthew joined Van Ameyde Marine in 2021 as Operations Assistant. Through this role, Matthew assisted to ensure sleek work-flow control, preparation and approval of jobs prior to release to surveying colleagues and supports continuous project monitoring during an assignment’s life cycle.

Throughout 2024, Matthew began to support our Crew Care department, and in 2025 took on his new role as Marine Crew Coordinator. 

As well as Matthew's seagoing experience as a Navigational Officer of the Watch, Matthew has previously worked within the NHS and in emergency medicine. This has granted him a unique perspective on the integration of health care with seafarers, both at home and abroad.
