Following a sea-going career on refrigerated vessels, Ro-Ro and the world’s largest floating fish meal factory up to the rank of Chief Officer, Albert joined McAusland’s in 1982.
Albert is a skilled investigator and negotiator and is regularly appointed as an expert witness on a variety of cases. He has also published numerous articles on the carriage of steel cargoes as well as guidelines for surveyors and co-authored the Standard Club’s handbook for steel products. Albert has travelled the world on behalf of P&I Clubs whilst also overseeing a 20-fold increase in the Company’s turnover taking it from a single office to a multi-national organisation.
