CV summary

Thomas is a Marine Surveyor who joined Van Ameyde Marine in 2025. 

Prior to this, he spent several years at sea, primarily on product and chemical tankers, trading worldwide and managing cargo operations involving black and refined oils, as well as petrochemicals. He holds a UK Master Mariner (Unlimited) Certificate of Competency. 

Before his seagoing career, Thomas completed a Master's degree in Chemistry and worked in a consultancy role, providing advice on bulk liquid cargo quality to a range of  stakeholders in the marine industry. 

He has developed a strong interest in the technical and investigative aspects of shipping, combining his seafaring experience with analytical skills to protect clients' interests and promote safety across the marine industry.
